About the role:
We are seeking a Senior Scrum Master to guide, mentor, and empower Agile teams to deliver customer-focused solutions. In this role, you will support and facilitate one or more Scrum teams, driving continuous improvement, enabling cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring the team follows Agile principles and Scrum practices. You will work closely with Product Owners, developers, business stakeholders, and leadership to ensure clear prioritization, effective sprint execution, and predictable delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate all core Agile practices, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint retrospectives, and defining sprint goals to enable effective delivery and team alignment
- Coach client stakeholders through Agile adoption and help shape delivery processes in environments with varying levels of Agile maturity
- Establish, track and maintain Agile metrics such as velocity, throughput, cycle, time and predictability
- Use data-driven insights to forecast delivery confidence and identify continuous improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with Delivery Managers, Release Train Engineers, Product Owners and Architects to maintain alignment across teams
- Facilitate discussions with senior and executive stakeholders
- Work closely with technical leads to remove technical blockers and ensure sprint objectives remain achievable
- Ensure Jira/Confluence/Azure DevOps boards are well-maintained and accurately reflect teamwork
Required Expertise
- Experience working in a consulting or professional services environment, supporting multiple client delivery teams
- 10+ years of experience as a Senior Scrum Master supporting software development teams in an Agile environment
- Experience guiding teams or organizations transitioning from Waterfall to Agile or hybrid delivery models
- Experience working with Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe
- Experience managing cross-team dependencies within a multi-squad or enterprise level Agile programs
- Ability to manage team dynamics, resolve conflict, and facilitate collaborative decision-making
- Familiarity with cloud transformation, DevOps pipelines, and modern software development practices
- Ability to assess Agile maturity using qualitative and quantitative indicators and develop improvement plans
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, cloud platforms and modern engineering workflows
Preferred Expertise
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
- Relevant professional certifications such CSM, PSM, SAFe Scrum Master, PMI-ACP, or Agile Coach certification are preferred
- Experience supporting teams in a financial services, banking, or enterprise technology delivery environments
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, cloud migration initiatives, and enterprise transformation projects
